LCOG's Information
Services’ staff supports a Local Area Network (LAN) of
250 workstations at seven locations. The LCOG LAN is connected
to regional and state-wide area networks. Each PC is configured
with Windows, Outlook/Exchange, Office, and a number of in-house
applications related to fiscal and geographic information systems
tasks. Staff members’ PCs are also equipped with State
applications such as the Department of Human Resources' Mainframe
and Oregon Access. LCOG's in-house application development staff
works primarily with PowerBuilder, MicroSoft Access, and ErWin.
