Welcome
to the 2006 LCOG Needs and Issues Inventory Page.
This process will help state and federal agencies understand
the importance of your particular area’s or agency’s
projects.
Background
The
Needs and Issues (N&I) Process is the standardized process
for government agencies, service districts, and non-profit organizations
to submit a notification of upcoming project needs. The State of
Oregon, federal agencies, and some non-profit agencies use the
N&I information to prioritize grant funding opportunities.
This year the process has been tailored to our region by the Lane
Council of Governments.
Action
Required
Submit up to five projects
for review to the Lane Economic Committee (LEC) using the online Needs &
Issues Application. Please review the evaluation
criteria ( PDF)*
before filling in the form. Detail each project’s
description, expected outcome, impacted service area or population, anticipated
timeline, economic development impact, community impact, costs and funding
sources to date.
Please
also complete your own Local Priority
List online. This list should be
reviewed and approved by your respective local elected officials.
Upon completion of the application and the Local Priority List,
your projects will be reviewed by the LEC. Please
complete and submit both the application and local priority list
by July 1, 2006.
Alternate Submission Method
For those that prefer another method of submitting the Needs
& Issues Application, a Word
version of document ( DOC)
is available for download. The Local
Priority List ( DOC)
is also available in Word. Simply
fill out the form using Microsoft Word and send the completed document
to
ecodev@lcog.org.
Printed versions can be mailed to: Lane Council of Governments; Needs
and Issues Applications; 99 E. Broadway, Suite 400; Eugene, OR 97401-3111.
